Experience the most romantic of Romantic ballets as it
should be seen – danced by a full ballet corps with a
live orchestra playing the haunting score by Adolphe
Adam. The ballet tells the story of Giselle, a village
maiden who falls in love with Albrecht, a nobleman
disguised as a peasant. He is betrothed to another,
and when Giselle discovers this
deception, her despair leads to her own madness
and death. But her undying love
for Albrecht, will save him from the wicked magic
of the Wilis, the ghosts of girls betrayed by their
lovers. The Peninsula Ballet Orchestra under Alan
Futterman accompanies as PDT performs one of the most
popular ballets of all time.
