Text Box: Lara Littlefield has over 25 years of training in ballet, modern, tap, and jazz. While dancing with Peninsula Dance Theatre, she also expanded her studies at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Cornish College of the Arts, and studied with Bill Evans, Michiko Schulbach, Wade Madsen, and  many other guest teachers and Chorographers within the region. She has performed nationally and internationally for PDT, Guerilla Dance Group, The Mean Reds, and Laura Curry. Lara has been awarded Pacific Regional Dance America Monticello Award and the Project Tier Scholarship to the Craft of Choreography. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Donald Byrd’s Spectrum Dance Theatre.
        
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

Text Box: Choreography Intensive:  Dancers who are interested in choreographing will be invited to learn the art of creating a piece under the direction of Lara Littlefield. Choreographers will learn how to construct a piece on fellow dancers at the Intensive.  A choreographer from amongst this group will be chosen to have their piece performed at PDT’s 2009 Season Opener. 
 
Dancers will need to submit a request form to PDT in order to be considered as a choreographer.  Not all who apply may be chosen.  Please contact the PDT office  for the Summer Intensive Choreographer

Text Box: Rochelle Zide-Booth’s expertise in the dance world encompasses a broad spectrum of activity; principal dancer, ballet mistress, artistic director, master teacher, choreographer, author, lecturer, adjudicator, and university professor. Ms. Zide-Booth began her performing career in 1954 as a soloist with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. She continued as a Principal Dancer for the Joffrey Ballet and Prima Ballerina at the New York City Opera Ballet. In 1965 she began her teaching career as Ballet Mistress for the Joffrey Ballet. In 1973 she accepted the position of Artistic Director of the Netherlands Dance Theater. She has also served as head of the ballet program at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Director of the Dance Program at Adelphi University.
