Dancer Biographies
Principal Dancers
Sena Anderson
Sena Anderson is a homeschooled senior in high school. She has been attending classes at Bremerton Dance Center for 13 years and is dancing her 7th season as a member of the PDT. Sena aspires to go on and continue dancing through teaching and choreographing and is currently enjoying her first year teaching at Bremerton Dance Center. Some of her favorite roles have consisted of Bluebird pas de deux in The Sleeping Beauty, Sugar plum fairy in The Nutcracker, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and various company pieces in Choreography Showcase. When not in class you may find her anywhere that sells french fries, alone writing love letters or even wasting her day away watching The Gameshow Network. Sena would also like to thank everyone for all their love and support towards her future in the arts.
Ryan Marshall
Ryan Marshall has been performing off and on with PDT since 1996. Ryan is a Sheet Metal Mechanic at PSNS, having graduated from his apprenticeship in 2008. A few of his favorite past roles include Cavalier, Snow King, and Herr Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker. As well as Hungarian Prince in Swan Lake and Prince Désiré in Sleeping Beauty.
Ryan Posey
Ryan Posey started dancing 14 years ago and became a member of Peninsula Dance Theatre in 2007. Ryan started dancing at Just For Kicks School of Dance in Port Orchard where he was a member of their competition company, Allegro, for 4 years. Ryan began teaching back in 2003 and now has been teaching around Kitsap and Pierce country for the past 9 years. Ryan teaches Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop and Musical Theatre at Bremerton Dance Center and at Harbor Dance in Gig Harbor. Ryan is excited to be starting his 5th season with Peninsula Dance Theatre.
Chris Williams
Chris Williams has been a principal dancer with PDT for many seasons. He has danced such roles as Spanish Chocolate, Snow King, Herr Drosselmeyer, and Cavalier in The Nutcracker; Prince in Cinderella; Romeo and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet; Prince Desire in Sleeping Beauty; Dr. Coppelia in Coppelia; and Basil in Don Quixote. He has also performed internationally in Russia (Rudolf Nureyev International Ballet Festival), Europe, Canada and Australia.

Dalton Alden-Welfl
Dalton Alden-Welfl, a sophomore at Klahowya, has been studying dance with Bremerton Dance Center (BDC) since the age of 3. While performing with BDC she held the lead roles of the Caterpiller in Alice in Topsey Turvey Land and Wendy in Peter Pan. Through her graduation to the performing company of PDT, she has appeared in numerous productions of the Nutcracker, Season Opener, and Choreography Showcase and held supporting roles in Cinderella and the Sleeping Beauty. Most recently she performed the lead role of Porsch, Mercutios saucy and pugnacious love interest in this past season’s rendition of Romeo and Juliet. At this year’s Regional Dance America (RDA) convention in Las Vegas, she received a matching scholarship from RDA and PDT. This scholarship allowed her to travel to North Carolina to attend the 50th anniversary of RDA’s National Choreography intensive. There she had the opportunity to study with a broad array of choreographers, take classes from inspirational teachers, and create friendships with a talented group of people. It was hard work and long days, all during a heat wave, but it was an experience that she will cherish for the rest of her life.
Lydia Caldwell
Lydia Caldwell is excited to be returning to PDT for her first season as a performing member. Lydia is 14 years old and has been dancing for 10 years, 8 of them with Bremerton Dance Center. This past summer, Lydia received a full tuition scholarship to attend a two-week intensive at Columbia Dance Center in Vancouver, WA. Outside of dance, Lydia enjoys singing in her schools choir, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Ceilidh Countryman
Ceilidh Countryman is excited to join PDT for her first year as a company member. A few of her favorite roles were Smee in Bremerton Dance Center’s Peter Pan and the Cuckoo Bird in Carnival of the Animals. She is a 14 year old freshman who began dancing at age three with Liberty Bay Danceworks, and began dancing with Bremerton Dance Center when she was eight. She spent two weeks this summer at Summer Dance Lab in Walla Walla. When not dancing she enjoys reading, listening to music, and chatting with friends.
Ryleigh Hazen
Ryleigh Hazen is a sophomore at Central Kitsap High school. She has been dancing at Bremerton Dance Center for 11 years and is in her fifth year as a member of PDT. Her favorite role to date has been Tinkerbell in the BDC production of Peter Pan. Ryleigh has taken summer intensive workshops with PDT for several years and was a choreographer in this summer’s program. She attended Seattle Theatre Group's Dance This! in 2009 and went to this year’s National Choreography intensive in North Carolina on full scholarship. Ryleigh enjoys hanging out with her friends and swimming at the lake in the summer.
Alexandra Murray
Alexandra Murray is a sophomore in high school and enthusiastic about becoming a performing member of company for PDT this year. This summer she received a partial tuition scholarship to attend a 2 week ballet intensive with the Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre company, and has attended summer intensives with PDT for 3 years. Alex also attended Regional Dance America’s festival for the first time this year and enjoyed her experience greatly. She is working hard at school towards being accepted to a university, loves snowboarding, golf, and tubing at the lake.
Hailey Somerday
Hailey Somerday is an eighth grader at Hawkins Middle School. This is her first year as a performing member with PDT. She has been dancing at Bremerton Dance Center (BDC) since she was three years old. She held one of the lead roles as “The Blue Fairy” in BDC production of Pinocchio, which has been her favorite role so far. Hailey has performed in many PDT productions including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, and Choreography Showcase. This summer Hailey attended BDC’s summer dance intensive. While not dancing, she enjoys hanging out with friends and spending summers at Lake Roosevelt with family.
Rachael Spear
Rachael Spear is a freshman at Klahowya Secondary School and this will be her 11th year dancing Bremerton Dance Center. Her favorite role with PDT has been Aemelia in Romeo and Juliet. This marks Rachael's 4th year in the company. She is a performing member of PDT this season. In past summers, Rachael has traveled with PDT to New York City and has gone to the Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre for a summer intensive program on a scholarship. When she is not at dance, Rachael is the treasurer of the freshman class and likes to talk to her friends. She would like to thank everyone who supports her! Especially her mom and her dance teachers!
Nikole Starks
Nikole Starks is a junior at Bremerton High School. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. This is her third year as a performing member with PDT. During the summer, she has attended Summer Dance Lab in Walla Walla, WA for two years and Northwest Dance Intensive in Olympia, WA for one year. This past summer she volunteered at the Admiral Theatre assisting with their two week Musical Theatre Summer Camp. When not dancing, Nikole enjoys working at Grocery Outlet as a cashier, keeping up with her studies in high school as well as her running start classes and hanging out with friends.
